Description - Περιγραφή
Located in La Unión, Nariño, in the southwest of Colombia, Finca Estrella is a family story. The coffee plantation, which has been passed from generation to generation, cultivates 13,000 coffee trees. The proximity of the equator, volcanic soil and a high altitude with warm days and cold nights are perfect conditions for growing outstanding coffee.
Producing a high-quality coffee is very important for Mr Carlos Estrella and his team. To select the best Caturra-cherries, not only do they harvest just the red ones, they also place them in a tank which isolates the most mature ones. Throughout the process, they use exclusively spring water from the farm in order to preserve the aromas of the coffee. After being sun-dried on the patio, the coffee is carefully packed in Grain Pro bags, which preserve its quality for longer.
